The international clothing company Lacoste received public deprecation after the court battle between the colossal company and a small Gloucestershire dental practice regarding the crocodile trademark.
In particular, Lacoste accused the dental company for making use- in a different design though- of the reptile symbol arguing that the crocodile brand could be mistaken for its own emblem, causing confusion among Lacoste shoppers and people who look to make a tooth filling.
Simply thinking, would be ever possible for one who looks for a light blue navy shirt from Lacoste's summer collection to confuse it with the need for root canal surgery? Well, the judge concluded that the average consumer is not that stupid to distinguish between the two!
